Ashby Hastings Scout Hut

Our home is our Scout hut on Wilfred Gardens in Ashby de la Zouch, where we’ve been meeting since we acquired the site in 1963. The current building dates from 1983.

It’s a Scout hut. Nothing fancy, but a great venue for kids to enjoy whatever we put on our programme. Indoors, we have 2 meeting rooms, which gives us some flexibility for break-out groups, and a small kitchen which we refitted in 2017. There are 3 toilets, including 1 disabled one and the entrance has been changed to be wheelchair friendly. Outdoors is part hard surface, part grass. We even have a small climbing wall.

That said, we’re looking to improve the building and site, and currently assessing our options. If you have expertise or an interest in helping us (with your skills, time, resources or can point us in the direction of financial assistance), then do please contact us.
